– Logann Todd, United States University’s Career & Alumni Services Manager, has been honored with the 2025 Presidential Recognition Award by the National Career Development Association (NCDA) for her exemplary leadership and vision as Co-Chair of the inaugural NCDA Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force.
This prestigious recognition was presented during the 2025 NCDA Global Conference in Atlanta, GA, and celebrates Todd’s contributions to one of the most forward-thinking initiatives in the field of career development. The NCDA AI Task Force, launched in Fall 2024, is the association’s first strategic group focused solely on integrating artificial intelligence into career development practices in a responsible, ethical, and practical way.
Since the task force's formation, Todd has worked alongside fellow thought leaders to guide NCDA members through an increasingly AI-influenced workforce. Under her co-leadership, the task force has made significant strides in:
“I am incredibly proud of the work the task force has accomplished,” said Todd. “This recognition is an affirmation of what can happen when passionate and dedicated professionals across the country come together to build future-ready, equitable resources backed by first-hand experiences and research.” The task force’s insights and tools are now available to the public via the new Artificial Intelligence resource page on the NCDA website. This hub serves as a living archive of the group’s work and will continue to grow with future research and training opportunities.
As the conversation around AI continues to evolve, so too will the task force’s mission. Plans for the next cohort include deeper exploration into privacy and security, the ethics of emerging technologies, and new professional development avenues for career practitioners nationwide. “AI is not just changing how we work, it’s changing the way we guide others in their careers,” said Todd. “I’m honored to be part of a movement that ensures our profession stays at the forefront of innovation, while staying true to our core values of ethical practice and inclusivity.”
