Post-Master’s Certificate in Online Education and Education Technology

The online Certificate in Online Education and Education Technology is available to any nurse with a Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing who wants to expand their skills in nursing education.

Students seeking only a certificate program are not eligible for financial aid. Courses taken after completion of a degree program in order to complete the certificate are not eligible for financial aid.

These courses may be transferred directly into the MSN degree in Online Education and Education Technology.

Admission requirements:

Admission to the certificate program is granted to individuals who apply and who have a Masters or higher degree in nursing.

This 12 credit 100% online certificate may be taken for academic credit, there is no clinical required and it will consist of 4 courses:

MSN 574-Curriculum Design and Development in Nursing   3
MSN 575-Online Teaching and Learning Strategies in Nursing (96 hours of practicum teaching in online courses)   3
MSN 576-Educational and Instructional Technology   3
MSN 577-Educational Assessment and Evaluation Outcomes




Total:                    12 credits  (10 didactic and 2 clinical)



This certificate is tailored to meet the needs of the working professional and are 100% online.  Courses are focused on assuring learning through a selection of engaged learning strategies.  These strategies may include synchronous face to face meetings and/or online lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and other interactive activities.

Admission to the Online Education Certificate is three times a year in Summer I, Fall I and Spring I (A cohort may not run if a minimum number of students are not admitted)
