In RecognitionofOutstanding Dedication and Service
WHEREAS it is with heavy hearts that we, the Board of Trustees of United States University, mourn the passing of our esteemed President, Dr. Steven A. Stargardter, who served our university with unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership.
WHEREAS President Stargardter assumed office as the 3rd President of United States University in 2016, bringing with him a visionary approach and a commitment to academic excellence.
WHEREAS, under President Stargardter's leadership, United States University has achieved significant milestones, which have elevated our institution's reputation on a local, national and global scale.
WHEREAS President Stargardter was a tireless advocate for students, faculty, and staff, fostering an environment of inclusivity, innovation, and intellectual growth.
WHEREAS President Stargardter consistently demonstrated a deep passion for higher education and an unwavering commitment to the values and mission of United States University.
WHEREAS President Stargardter led with integrity, transparency, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, leaving an indelible mark on our university's history.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of United States University expresses its profound gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding leadership, vision, and dedication exhibited by President Stargardter during his tenure as our President.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we extend our heartfelt condolences to President Stargardter's family, friends, and loved ones, recognizing the sacrifices they made in sharing their beloved family member with our university community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be provided to the family of President Stargardter, added to the official records of United States University, and shared with the broader university community as a testament to the lasting impact of his leadership.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Board of Trustees of United States University has adopted this resolution on this September 15, 2023, in memory of President Stargardter, a true visionary and dedicated servant of higher education.
