United States University Sends Teachers Back to School with an Educator Achievement Scholarship

United States University (USU) wants to send teachers back to school. The WASC accredited university has just announced its groundbreaking Educator Achievement Scholarship to support teachers who want to pursue a Master’s degree in Education.

The scholarship offers students $150.00 per credit hour that will be applied directly to tuition charges for the entire 36-credit online program (regular USU tuition is 400.00 per credit hour).  In addition to the scholarship worth up to $5400.00, we are also waiving the $60.00 application fee for summer applicants.

“The future of American education depends on the quality of our teachers,” says USU Provost, Dr. Steven Stargardter.  “We want to make advanced degrees available to all educators who are interested in continuing their own education and enhancing their skills.”

USU’s Master of Arts in Education is designed to meet the demanding schedules of today’s educators.  It offers educators the flexibility to specialize in a field that will help them advance their careers in the area that appeals to them most.  These specialties include:

  •  Administration and Leadership, K-12
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Special Education

In addition to the Educator Achievement Scholarship, USU MAED program offers students:

  • Accelerated Pace:  Students can complete their program in as few as 12 months
  • Personalized Attention:  Small class sizes
  • Flexibility:  All course offered 100% online
  • Affordability:  http://collegecost.ed.gov
  • Quality:  USU holds WASC accreditation

The timing of this scholarship is no accident.  “We know that many teachers start their advanced studies during the summer, when they have a break from classroom responsibilities,” Stargardter Notes.  Classes start September 2 and October 28.
