CCNE Third Party Comments

The College of Nursing at United States University, located in Chula Vista California, is seeking comments from the public about the BSN Programs. This is in preparation for an initial evaluation for national accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE, an autonomous accrediting entity, is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to accredit baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in nursing.

The BSN Programs will undergo a comprehensive on-site visit September 2, 3, and

4, 2015, by a team from the CCNE. This team will review the BSN Program’s ability to meet the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Degree Nursing Programs (Amended April 2009) and key elements.

Written, signed comments concerning the BSN Program’s qualifications for accreditation status will be received by CCNE until 30 days before the scheduled visit.

CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team before the visit, but at no time with the BSN Programs.

The Public is invited to Submit Comments to:
